BRIDGES THERAPY

Counselling is more than just healing the patterns in our lives, it is a form of elevated self-care, where in a safe, supportive space, we are called back to relationship with ourselves.
We all reach places in our lives where we feel stuck, alone, or overwhelmed and it takes courage to ask for help. Whether you are struggling with loss, dealing with a difficult relationship, or processing a traumatic event that has left you devastated, Bridges Therapy is here to support you. You belong here.
What's Bringing You Here?
Trauma
Let's create space for what you are carrying
Anxiety/Overwhelm
Let's explore what's underneath and find a new calm.
Relationship Strain
Feeling stuck or unheard? Let's work on communication, trust, and deeper connection.
Grief/Loss
We hold space for your sorrow and the slow work of healing.
Life Transitions
We create a space to explore change and find steadiness as you shift to a new place.
Addiction
Turning to substances or habits to manage pain can feel like the only option. We provide support for these patterns.
Counselling that Meets You Where You Are
Therapy is the bridge that is built between where you are now and the skills, insight and growth needed to get to where you want to go.

Healing doesn’t follow a straight line, it’s layered, personal, and often messy. But you don’t have to walk it alone.

I’m Kate. I’m a therapist by training and an intuitive, grounded healer at heart. I work with individuals, couples, and youth who are navigating life’s toughest transitions – grief, trauma, anxiety, relationship breakdowns, identity shifts, and all the wild, unexpected turns along the way.

My undergraduate degree is in Family Science, as I have always been inspired by how small changes in an individual can alter the way an entire family functions; trust can be rebuilt, connection restored. I am passionate about supporting individuals and couples grow, adapt, learn, and change and how even the most painful events in our lives can be integrated to create meaning and joy.
My background includes over 20 years supporting vulnerable youth and families, a Master’s in Social Work, and additional certifications in trauma therapies such as EMDR and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). My approach combines evidence-based methods with deep emotional presence and body-based awareness, because trauma lives not just in the mind, but in the nervous system.

Sessions with me often include a mix of insight, body-based tools, curiosity, challenge, and compassion. I believe therapy should feel real, not clinical or distant.
In brave conversation, we will find new ways to create meaning, find hope and build stronger connections to the people you love. I believe that healing like everything else is a journey of ups and downs, and my job is to awaken your own abilities and answers. I will offer tools and strategies; unpack core beliefs and support you in creating powerful change.

Working with me might feel different than what you expect from therapy. I’m real, warm, and honest. There’s space here for swearing, silence, tears, belly laughs, big truths – and yes, coffee. I won’t judge you. But I will walk beside you and gently hold you accountable to the version of yourself you’re becoming.

Healing isn’t linear. It’s layered. It’s personal.

If you’re feeling lost or stuck, know that healing is possible, even if it doesn’t look like you expected. Together, we’ll hold the hard stuff, make meaning, and find a way forward that feels more like you.

A Bit About Me

I’m a mother, a partner, a trauma survivor, a yoga lover (who can barely touch her toes), and a graffiti art collector. I have survived traumatic loss and deep pain, lived to build positive relationship post-divorce, remarry, and lean into the struggles of a blended family and new ways of being. I love spicy food, dystopian movies, fainting goats, epic debates and all the awkward vulnerable moments that come with being human. I write cheesy poems for fun and mostly they sound like cringey hallmark cards (and my family pretends to love them).

I believe in the power of connection, the magic of telling the truth, and the quiet strength it takes to heal.

You belong here. Let’s begin.
